Veteran Service Office

DAY COUNTY VETERANS:
The Veterans Service office provides service to every eligible Day County veteran and his/her dependents.  We aid in the questions they may have regarding entitlements, which can minimize the burden of health and economic hardships. we can assist in processing the necessary forms for federal and state benefits.

APPOINTMENTS:
We are located on the lower floor, suite 103A for walk in appointments.  You can always call for an appointment as well.  Special arrangements can be made to come to your residence for those not able to travel or come to the office.

It is imperative that you keep updated annually to see if you qualify for more benefits and be made aware of changes in VA policy that may impact your entitlements.  We will try to keep abreast of all new changes in VA regulations.

THIS IS WHAT WE DO:

  • Submit compensation and pension claims for Veterans
  • Healthcare enrollment qualifications submission, to include input, transmittal and power of attorney (POA)
  • Order military and medical records for Veterans, dependents, family
  • Coordinate travel for Veterans appointments
  • Provide volunteer drivers and DAV vehicle
  • Order Burial markers, coordinate for placement, complete all necessary paperwork to order marker and stipend.  Submit necessary records to funeral homes.
  • Order Korean peace medal
  • Purple Heart Honor Roll
  • Promote Veteran news and events via newspaper and social media
